Palm Jebel Ali

Palm Jebel Ali began construction in October 2002. The Palm Jebel Ali is estimated to house the 1.7 million people in 2020.  When completed, this island will be surrounded by the Dubai Waterfront. This project, which is 50 percent larger than Palm Jumeirah, will include six marinas, a water theme park, 'Sea Village', houses on stilts above the water, and the sidewalks surrounding the "branch" "palm" and formed an Arabic poem by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum:

In early October 2007, the construction of the island carried out. breakwater completed in December 2006, and the infrastructure created in April 2007. A major development did not begin until the creation of infrastructure completed.

One of the first buildings on The Palm Jebel Ali has been known. Nakheel invited several architects to design a building area of 300,000 m². The winner is the building by Royal Haskoning, who also worked on several other projects in Dubai.

year 2012, the first phase of four theme parks will be opened on Crescent Island.

This park, which later was named "World of Discovery," will be built and operated by Busch Entertainment Corporation. Parks include SeaWorld, aquatica, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove. World of Discovery will be located on the Crescent Island, which will form an orca (another name of Shamu).
