Dubai

Dubai (in Arabic: دبي, Dubaīy) is one of the seven emirates and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf in the Arabian Peninsula. Dubai Municipality Dubai City is sometimes called to distinguish it from the emirate.

The existence of a written document states this city for 150 years before the formation of the UAE. Dubai shares legal authority, political, military and economic with other emirates within a federal circles, although each emirate has jurisdiction on some kind of power civilian law enforcement and the monitoring and reform of local facilities. Dubai has the largest population and is the second largest emirate by area, after Abu Dhabi. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the only two emirates which have veto power on critical issues of national interest in the Federal National Council countries. Dubai has been led by the Al Maktoum dynasty since 1833. Current Pemimpinnnya, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also served as Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE.

Income derived from trade emirate, real estate and financial services. Revenues from petroleum and natural gas contribute less than 6% (2006) Dubai economy worth U.S. $ 37 billion (2005). Real estate and construction , contributing 22.6% to the economy in 2005, before large-scale construction season which lasted until now. Dubai has attracted world attention through real estate projects are innovative and multi-sport. This increased attention, along with its importance as a world business hub, has also raised human rights issues on the involvement of many foreign workers.
