Nias (Nias language Tano Niha) is an island located west of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The island is inhabited by a majority of the tribe Nias (Ono Niha) who still has a megalithic culture. This area is an important tourist attraction such as surfing (surfing), traditional houses, diving, jumping rocks.
Island with an area of 5625 km ² is a population 700,000.
Majority religion of this area are Protestant Christians. Nias is now separated into four counties and one city, namely Kabupaten Nias, South Nias regency, Nias Regency West, North Nias District, and City of Gunungsitoli.
