The Semitic

    Semitic is a language group spoken by more than 200 million people, mainly in the Middle East, North Africa and East Africa. This grove is a branch of the family northeastern Afro-Asiatic languages and is the only branch that is also spoken in Asia.


    Semitic language of the most extensive and most widely spoken are Arabic (206 million), the language Amharic (27 million), Hebrew (7 million), and the language of Tigrinya (6.8 million). Semitic languages include the languages that are written beginning with Akkadian language at the beginning of the third millennium BC. The term "Semitic" for these languages refers to Shem, Noah's son who actually is etymologically one of several ways. After all these names have been accepted as a standard.
