Submarine Monument

    Submarine Monument, or abbreviated Monkasel, is a submarine museum located in the city of Surabaya. Located in the city center, this monument is actually a submarine HMS Pasopati 410, one of the Navy fleet of the Republic of Indonesia made the Soviet Union in 1952. The submarine was never involved in the Battle of Aru Sea to free West Papua from the Dutch occupation.


    Submarine was then taken to the ground and used as a monument to commemorate the heroic courage Indonesia. This monument is located at Jalan Pemuda, right next to Plaza Surabaya.
