Nakheel Tower is a skyscraper planned supertall built in Dubai, United Arab Emirates property company Nakheel. The project was previously called Al Burj (Arabic: البرج "Tower").
Nakheel is in talks with several potential contractors including Samsung Engineering & Construction of South Korea (which is also building the Burj Dubai), Shimizu Corporation of Japan and Grocon from Australia. This tower will have a height 1400 m (4593 ft) , making it the world's tallest structure when completed.
The tower was originally planned in 2003 as part of the Palm Jumeirah, one of the largest artificial islands in the world. Given the name "The Pinnacle" and the peak of the canal on the main part of the island. Height of about 750 m (2.461 ft) and consists of 120 luxury apartment level but is replaced by the Trump International Hotel and Tower, and moved to Dubai Waterfront. Although ground leveling and land reclamation began in the Dubai Waterfront, the construction of the tower was never done because it was close to the International Airport Al Maktoum, who is currently under construction.
Location is now moved to a piece of land near the Jumeirah Lake Towers and Dubai Marina, and soil testing has begun. The tower will be the main point Nakheel plans to Ibn Battuta Mall development next to Jumeirah Islands and Jumeirah Lake Towers. Will consist of a small 20-story tower that was built 90 shopping malls next to it.
Currently, very few sources that issued the original design but Nakheel still insists that this building will be one of the highest tower in the world and become a new icon for Dubai.
Original design created by Pei Partnership Architects and an area of 631.000 m² (6,792,000 sq ft) with an ultra-luxury apartments, restaurants, large health club, and the observation deck [citation needed]. The building is actually comprised of three separate towers built around an empty interior and merged together by some of the air bridge that serves as the lobby air. On top of each bridge is the garden air. One tower shorter than the other two towers with a large pool on the roof, while the other two towers topped with a large peak.
A redesign has the same shape, three towers connected by air bridge with two twin peaks and one tower shorter than the other two. The number of air bridges: the original design [citation needed] only shows 4, but then display shows 6, while viewing the latest increase this number to 9 or 10. The building is also used as a mixture rather than wholly residential.
